The Maintenance of a 100KVAR SVG unit was carried out by PQIS for a Auto Body Repair Business in Aldershot.
During maintenance the Static Var Generator was observed operating correctly and has been cleaned of all dust build up in the interior of the unit to prevent deterioration and maintain component efficiency.
Unit has been installed to improve electrically efficiency and reduce maximum KVA demand to mitigate KW losses on the supply by correcting the PF. On inspection the power factor was 0.99.
